Rick Springfield headlines the final show in the series on August 1. Born Richard Lewis Springthorpe in Sydney, Australia, Springfield found success in the United States as both a singer and songwriter, as well as an actor, with a prominent role on General Hospital as Dr. Noah Drake in the 1980's. With three multi-platinum albums, 17 top 40 hits, a Grammy Award in 1982 for the Best Male Vocal Performer for the #1 hit single “Jessie’s Girl” and an American Music Award for “Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist”, Springfield’s passion is truly for music. His four other top 10 U.S. hits include: “I’ve Done Everything for You”, “Don’t Talk To Strangers”, “Affair of the Heart”, and “Love Somebody”. His most recent release, Venus in Overdrive, was released on New Door Records/Ume and debuted on Billboard's Top 100 at #28. Springfield also released his autobiography, Late, Late at Night in 2010. It hit the New York Times hardcover bestseller list at #13 as well as #14 on the Publisher’s Weekly bestseller list and #10 on the LA Times Hardcover Nonfiction Bestseller’s List. Doors will open at 6:30pm for each concert and opening acts take the stage beginning at 7pm. Parking is free. Tailgating is prohibited.
