Create a relationship with the local businesses that cater to your potential clients. You want the business owner to ENCOURAGE customers to come to you for a massage. Consider the following types of businesses and see if you can identify 25-50 businesses such as:
Tanning Salons
Hair Salons
Fitness Centers
Chiropractors
Dentists
Doctors
Health Food Stores
*Ask your clients who they use in the above list
From there, what you're going to do is call them and tell them the following: "Hi, my name is ________, and I'm the awesome massage therapist close to you. I'd like to refer my clients to come to you because I feel it would be a good fit. Who can I talk to about sending you more business?"
This script is to get you in front of or on the phone with the decision maker and bypass the $10/hour front desk manager. From there, it's up to you to close the deal. Be sure to identify the benefits of why you want to refer to them.
Remember, when you promote good will by referring clients to them, they will remember and return the favor.
