Defrag your brain to reach your optimum potential

Really?? Absolutely! Why
not? We can do it to our com
-
puters, why not our brain?
Our brains have been com
-
pared to computers, right?
But what would it take?
What would that look like ex
-
actly? Would it hurt? Is there
a magic “button” somewhere
on my head that I can push?
Well sort of. Actually there are 32 such places on
the head and they are called “Bars” – energy Bars
that is, and when they are lightly touched, they re
-
lease electromagnetic energy. This is where the de
-
frag takes place.
“OK, I’ll take some of that” you say. Great!
Here’s how it works.
About 25 years ago a guy named Gary Douglas
came up with these energy Bars that run through the
head. Each Bar pertains to some aspect of our life
that we deal with every day: joy, sadness, money,
control, creativity, creating connections, peace, grat
-
itude, and more.
He found out that when we touch each of these
Bars, the particular aspect of that Bar gets defragged.
By defragged, I mean that old habits and patterns
surrounding that Bar are released. Poof! Gone!
How cool is that? So some of the things we learned
from our parents, grandma and grandpa, teachers,
TV, books, etc. that are stored in our brain (a lot of
which is subconscious) and which inhibit us from
performing at our optimum potential, or being the
person we want to be, can be released.
Have you ever wondered why you keep choosing
the same things in your life that don’t really work for
you? Why would you choose a job that starts early in
the morning when you are not a morning person? Or
why choose a job that is 100% working inside when
you love being outdoors? Why would you work for
a male boss when you know you work better with a
female boss? Why do certain attributes of your co-
workers always get on your nerves? Does construc
-
tive criticism always leave you feeling “less than”?
“Getting your Bars run” describes a typical “de
-
fragging” session. This can be done in a reclining
chair or on a massage table. Almost everyone falls
asleep – a deep theta sleep. And it’s OK to snore.
No one will care. This will be your time to totally
receive, relax and renew. Sounds heavenly already
doesn’t it? When was the last time you had a good
night’s sleep? Restorative sleep is an absolute neces
-
sity to our well being. Or an hour to yourself with no
interruptions?
All this happens in an hour! No more long hours
on the psychiatrist’s couch (not that there’s anything
wrong with that) trying to figure things out. You can
relax and change at the same time. The session con
-
tinues to work after getting your Bars run because
more things continue releasing each day.
What would it look like if you couldn’t wait to get
to work every day? Can you really wake up joyful
each morning? What if you had so many new ideas
to contribute to your job that you didn’t know where
to start? Is it possible to not take things personally?
What if things were not right or wrong, or good or
bad? What if they were just ideas with no judgment?
Oh my!
Can we really allow co-workers and bosses to be
who they are without resisting and reacting, or align
-
ing and agreeing (all that polarity)? What would it
take for your life to be easier?
I know, some of this sounds so “outside the box”
doesn’t it? Well, it can actually happen by getting
your Bars run. It’s so easy. How does it get any bet
-
ter than that? What else is possible? Get your Bars
run and put the “joy” back in “job”. Or life. Or your
family. Or whatever.

Plug and Play: How do you get streaming content onto your TV? There are several plug-and-play options in the form of set top boxes that connect to your internet and your TV so you can stream content on your big screen. The easiest and least expensive is the Roku box. Starting at $59 with no monthly fee, Roku supports streaming Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and Pandora Radio and connects easily to your home theater. The main drawback is that you are limited to the content that Roku supports. If they stop supporting Hulu tomorrow, say goodbye to future episodes of America’s Got Talent.
Cut the cord with Wireless: If you have an extensive library of content stored on various computers in your home, you’ll want to consider an option that will allow you to wirelessly stream to your set-top box. Apple TV will allow you to stream movies and TV shows from the iTunes store, Netflix, Major League Baseball, and YouTube videos, but it will also allow you to stream content from any computer on your network wirelessly. If you have an iPad, iPod, or iPhone, you can use Airplay to stream video and music stored on your device to your TV, or watch apps you’ve installed like HBO Go or ABC.com for iPad.
Game Systems not just for gaming: Owners of an internet connected Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 already have the ability to stream internet content to a TV. An Xbox 360 will allow you to stream Hulu Plus, Netflix, ESPN, and more, or purchase content through the Xbox Live store. It also allows you to stream digital content from a Windows Media Center PC. Playstation 3 brings an integrated Blu-Ray Player to your home theater system, while supporting Netflix and allowing you to stream content from other computers on your home network.
My setup is Jynxbox Android + XMBC + 1channel plugin = MOVIE HEAVEN.
Look how easy it is to find any movie within seconds and free http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxqTH1qSX_c
while you are right about the cost effectiveness,
I’m sorry your totally off base with the ease and loss of functionality
of simple channel surfing through a remote.
I crave ease of my former dish network remote/dvr and menu system they were ergonometrically optimized to quickly allow navigation, surfing and other operations.
When one is exhausted after coming home after a long day the last thing I need to do is figure how to find out about a new show in prime time from the major networks I follow…
1. Roku
2. Mac Mini
3. EyeTV DVR Software
4. HD Antenna
5. Netflix
6. Plex Server and Plex Channel
7. Frequent visits to Roku Channel List at mkvXstream
Can’t say we miss cable one little bit and are happy to have the extra money in our pocket every month for things that matter more than watching over priced Cable TV.
I am moving to a house on the beach on Eleuthera Bahamas . No cable no Internet no phone. I was thinking of satellite Internet? What do you recommend ?
Next I wanted to have TV channels and was thinking about using the Internet to get TV, Movies, etc… Can I do this? I haven’t bought the TV yet. Do you recommend one that would be compatible for this project?
It seems like the more I wait the more interesting the opportunities become. Can you give me some direction?
Thanks, Barb
Thanks, Barb
Love the story. Another thing wort pointing out is that if you DO decide to spend a little money, you can add Netflix to your setup and either stream the movies over the net, or just play them on the HTPC DVD drive. There really is no need for Cable anymore. Now if they can just find a good device to replace the keyboard and mouse. The logitech Dinovo that was mentioned looks good, but does it really work?
Also, once the PS3 adds Hulu support again, you should be good. Or doesn’t Tversity add Hulu and all the others too? That would make the PS3 the best alternative.
Another note, if you are in the market for a new internet/cable service provider, don’t just go straight to the company. Check out the deals through stores like Radio Shack and Best Buy, self installs (especially for internet) are sometimes easy enough, and you can get perks like gift cards or free installation.
